The artistic, research-oriented, and interdisciplinary exhibition project Amplification originates from a reflection on how ecological reality reveals itself to us. Rather than something external, separate from human experience, ecology appears as an intricate network of relations that simultaneously affects our environment, bodies, and minds. The exhibition explores ways of perceiving, recording, and translating these often invisible processes into the space of artistic installation.
The project directly continues Daniel Vlček’s residency in the Venetian Lagoon in 2023 and expands it through collaborations with additional artists and interdisciplinary partners. It builds upon the initial project Confluence, presented at Marignana Arte during the 2024 Venice Biennale, where Vlček explored the concept of the “lagoon” as a symbol of a complex ecological superorganism. In this context, the lagoon represents a space where the boundaries between culture and nature intermingle, opening a field of everyday confrontation between natural forces and human existence.
Positioned between site-specific installation and an experimental laboratory, the multimedia exhibition attempts to simulate natural and planetary processes while amplifying biological and physical phenomena that shape the shifting environmental conditions of life in the Anthropocene. The installations work with sound, vibration, data flows, and environmental signals, creating a spatial situation in which visitors become part of a dynamic field of relations between organisms, technologies, and landscape.
